Headley Cricket Club Youth section - 2008 Season

Welcome to the section of the site dedicated to Headley youth cricket club - the youth section was formed in 2005.

The club successfully re-launched the youth section during the summer of 2005 and after a number of successful friendly matches during the 2006 season, we played our first league games during the 2007. The under 11's had a patchy start to the season, but ended up winning 4 of their 9 games, which was very encouraging.

For the 2008 season, we have entered an under 13 team and an under 11 team into the Berkley Sports Two counties youth cricket competition. The oldest age group (known as the Colts), containing under 15 to under 17 players will continue to play friendly fixtures. The 2008 league fixtures for the under 11's and under 13's are now available below. Details of any re-arranged games or additional friendlies will be posted on these pages.

Coaching/ practice sessions - during the season, these will take place at Headley Playing Fields, starting on April 24. These will be split between the different age groups:

Each session will cost £2 per person.

A qualified coach will lead these sessions. All ages and abilities are welcome (even dads can come along if they fancy turning their arm over).

Youth Club Membership costs: £5.00 per child. However, if you have more than one child in the club the fee for your second child is £3.00 and free for a third child. Each coaching session costs £2 but this covers the use of all equipment, facilities and the coaching staff. Membership forms will be available at the sessions and we must stress that they have to be completed to enable your child/ children to participate as we have full insurance but need the forms completed to comply with the policy.

Please encourage your child to come along to Headley CC and join in. Everybody is welcome and everyone will get their chance to play.
